Simon R. Pahati, 84, a survey engineer, died Thursday at Our Lady of Resurrection Hospital in Chicago. A resident of the Chicago area since 1976, Mr. Pahati is survived by his wife, Luz; six sons, Bay, Danny, Johnny, Jose, Tony and Larry; four daughters, Milagros, Net, Victoria and Lolet; and 19 grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Hilary Church, California and Bryn Mawr Avenues, Chicago.
