It is unbelievable that with the recent rash of well-publicized abuse and neglect cases against children, everyone sees it as a failure of either the child protection system or the income-support system.
Isn’t this really a failure of these families to take care of their children? If these families are unable or unwilling to do their job, these children should be removed permanently to a healthy environment where they will grow up witnessing something different. Maybe a “three-strikes-and- you’re- out” policy would make sense in dealing with these parents.
