Construction has begun on 123 additional one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments at Peachtree Place Apartments, which will more than double the size of the complex.
The first phase of the addition, which consists of 53 apartments, will be complete in March, said Don Miller, construction manager for Springland Inc., which owns and operates the apartments off S.C. 160. The Munn Road apartment complex now has 116 units, which were built in two phases in 1985 and 1987.
The additional apartment buildings will be arranged on the site to save trees and conform to the natural setting, said Will Close, vice president of Springland, a division of the Springs Co.
