Marian Catholic 41, Harper 0: After winning seven straight games to assure itself a playoff spot, Marian (8-2) coasted behind Matt Broxterman, who tied a school record by tossing five touchdown passes. He completed 9 of 12 for 122 yards.
“All season there’s been a lot of pressure on the team to win because we started 0-2,” said Marian coach Dave Mattio. “We needed to win the conference and then get to the playoffs. The kids call a game like this a lot of fun because it was the first time they were able to relax in weeks because of the pressure.”
