Mabel Stary, 83, who lived in the Chicago area for much of her life, died March 14 of cancer in her home in Ventura, Calif. She is survived by a daughter, Janet Nelsen; a son, Joseph Stary Jr.; and five grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Egan Funeral Home, 3700 W. 63rd St., Chicago.
