Officers arrested a local man for stealing lumber from the 400 block of Harvest Gate late Thursday night. Louis DeFrancisco Jr., 21, of 108 Polaris Drive, had 18 2-by-4-inch lengths of lumber in his vehicle when he was found, police said. Witnesses called police after they watched DeFrancisco take the lumber, officers said. The lumber is valued at $54. DeFrancisco is charged with misdemeanor theft.
