The Village Board voted 5-1 Tuesday night to annex the 120-acre Custom Source Development located north of Ballard Road and east of Haligus Road.
Pending board approval of the final plat, the developer, St. Paul Financial, plans to begin building 126 homes in the $300,000 range next spring.
Board President Bill Young said he was confident the new construction would not negatively affect the area’s schools.
“I feel very comfortable with how this board is acting in regard to our responsibility to the school district,” Young said.
