The intersection of U.S. Highway 14 and Illinois Highway 22 was closed for more than nine hours Saturday after a fuel tanker overturned that morning, spilling a small amount of gasoline and diesel fuel on the roadway, according to fire officials. Emergency crews had to pump the overturned tanker’s fuel into another truck, officials said. Police were investigating why the tanker overturned.
