On the positive side, this verdict may finally convince police departments that they’re going to have more spoiled prosecutions if they don’t purge their ranks of men and women who openly espouse race hatred.

But I’m also disappointed because it seems that a false acquittal can still be bought. Maybe not with an envelope and a cash-hungry judge, but it is still bought justice when $7 or $8 million can bankroll doubt. . . .
