Birthday: Dec 27, 1966.
Birthplace: Long Beach, Calif.
Occupation: Actress.
Current home: Manhattan.
Marital status: Single.
Car: I don’t have one.
Working on: I play Annette Funicello in “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” on CBS-TV Oct. 22; I play Dr. Maria Santos on “All My Children” on ABC-TV; and I’m rehearsing for a revue I’ll be doing in Lyon, France, at Christmas.
The last good movie I saw: “Braveheart.”
The book I’ve been reading: “The Virgin Suicides” by Jeff Eugenides.
Nickname: E and Smeeve and Kenga.
Prized possession: It was my horse, Exclusive Music. I sold him and now I’m trying to buy him back.
I wish I could stop: Eating as much salt as I do. I’m a saltaholic.
I’ve never been able to: Feel good about any of my performances.
My fantasy is: I have a horse ranch in Carmel and a couple of kids. I’m happily married and I work just enough to pay for the horses.
The one thing I can’t stand: People who are so self-absorbed that they don’t see what’s going on with anyone else. They just walk through life hurting other people, without a clue.
If I could change one thing about myself: I’d think first and talk second.
People who knew me in high school thought I was: Friendly.
I knew I was a grown-up: Right after my divorce this past year. I learned so much about myself and taking responsibility for my actions, realizing I wasn’t a kid anymore.
The best time of my life: Singing at the White House when I was Miss American Teenager in 1982.
The worst time of my life: The last three years have been the worst and the best. I got married and divorced, moved far away from my family and friends and started working on “All My Children.”
If I wasn’t an actress, I’d be: Teaching dance or training horses.
Most humbling experience: Every time I get a new job, it’s sort of, “Oh, boy, am I going to be able to do it? Am I going to be able to pull it off?”
Three words that best describe me: Outgoing, loyal and affectionate.
