The folks who run the Bouchaine winery in the Carneros region of the Napa Valley have a sense of humor and a sense of history. They named what is essentially a second-label chardonnay for Quintus Cincinnatus Fly, a genuine character in Napa Valley wine history.
You might expect any wine carrying such a weighty name to be classic, and this one is. It has the clean, crisp applelike taste often associated with Carneros chardonnay, plus a hint of citrus that extends into the aftertaste.
