Howard E. Anderson, 85, owner for 40 years of H.E. Anderson Heating Corp. of Chicago, died Dec. 27 in Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines. He was a resident of Park Ridge for almost 50 years. His specialty was steam and hot water heating, and he worked mainly in apartment buildings and churches. He was a pioneer in under-floor heating. Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons, Douglas and Stephen; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church, 675 Algonquin Rd., Des Plaines.
