The Chicago School Reform Board of Trustees in its monthly board meeting is expected to vote on a new policy that would require all city schools to adopt a dress code. Under the new policy, principals would have the option of allowing students to wear whatever they want, but according to schools Chief Executive Officer Paul Vallas, the move is an effort to encourage more schools to adopt the uniform. Currently, about 200 city schools require uniforms.
