Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
Recalling the fabulous Bears Super Bowl year, I can remember my concerns over the attitude of Michael McCaskey toward the star players and coach. However, I knew that Bill Tobin had the expertise to find the right personnel to assure us of another division title and possibly another Super Bowl appearance.
Now I find that my confidence was not misplaced. I was cheering for Tobin and Jim Harbaugh to overcome all the obstacles in their fight for a Super Bowl berth. Unfortunately for Bears fans, they were wearing different uniforms.
Perhaps Harvard didn’t teach loyalty or “pay-for-performance” principles to McCaskey, although he certainly learned how to improve the bottom line of a losing team.
