Yo, runners! Time again to enter the ultimate marathon, the Mt. Everest Challenge, near Darjeeling, India. That’s right, you run from Sandakphu (11,815 feet) to Phulet (11,380 feet) and back along a ridge- line footpath that descends to 10,800 feet at one point, with spectacular views of Everest and yaks along the way.

Last year, 50 crazies took part, including Steve Seaton, editor of “Runner’s World,” whose time was 6 hours and 11 minutes. The winner only managed a five-hour time.

FYI: The runners included a surgeon and a psychiatrist, which could be handy.
