If Janosch Troll of Monroe, N.C. ever ends up in the doghouse with his creditors, they’ll have only themselves to blame.
Janosch received a letter last week offering him a GE Corporate Plus Visa card — “an exciting, new corporate charge card that’s accepted at over 12 million locations.”
Just one bone of contention: Janosch (pronounced YON-ush) is a 14-year-old miniature poodle.
“He’s a champion and a prize winner, but a credit card?” asks an incredulous Vickie Mundy of Monroe, who owns the chocolate-colored canine and the VIP Kennel where he lives.
“Very obviously it was an error that resulted from bad information on a mailing list,” says Neal McGarity, spokesman for the company. “We have no record of a mistake like this ever happening before.”
