I was very disappointed in your coverage of the tragic loss of Commerce Secretary Ron Brown and 32 senior business executives.

The arrest of the Unabomber suspect was significant; however, this story should not have taken priority over the loss of more than 30 lives in a plane crash. The work of Ron Brown and his fellow passengers affects the lives of millions of citizens nationally and internationally.

The Unabomber’s cowardly acts were designed for him to gain attention, and the news media has elevated him to celebrity status.

The media spend too much time focusing on the negative aspects of life instead of the positive. The legacy of Ron Brown and the passengers deserved more respect and attention.
