A survey of village residents may influence the fate of a proposed seven-story inflated translucent sports dome in Kelly Park.

“We had considered putting something in the April newsletter, but we’re going to hold off and send it under a separate cover, probably in May,” said Trustee John Murphy.

A special village committee chaired by Murphy is reviewing the proposal for the 300-by-240-foot air-supported dome. Developers Jeff Guzlas and John LaFlamboy want to lease the park site for 20 years and construct the dome primarily for use as a 50-bay golfing range from December through April. The rest of the time the dome would be available for baseball, soccer and other recreational uses.
