The Anti-Cruelty Society’s Mobile Vaccination Clinic will begin making its rounds, offering free exams and vaccinations for cats and dogs in disadvantaged Chicago neighborhoods.
The service, in its 10th year, will begin at 10 a.m. at all locations, serving the first 30 animals brought to the site. (Numbers will be given to the first arrivals; clients with numbers higher than 30 are welcome to return the following week.)
Only one animal per person may receive treatment. Dogs must be on leashes and cats in carriers.
Service sites include:
– On May 7,, and every following Tuesday through October (weather permitting), the van will visit the parking lot of the Mal Mart Medical Center, 6333 S. Green St.
– On May 8, and following Wednesdays through October, the van will be parked in the parking lot of the 2nd Federal Savings Bank, 3960 W. 26th St.
– On May 10, and following Fridays, the Mobile Vaccination Clinic will be in the lot of the Paris Dance nightclub, 1122 W. Montrose Ave.
Clients may make an appointment at the van site to have their animals spayed or neutered free at The Anti-Cruelty Society Clinic, 157 W. Grand Ave. If the pet has a more serious health problem, clients will be advised to call the clinic and make an appointment with the veterinarian. For more information, call 312-644-8338.
