A South Side man convicted in the attempted rape of a 75-year-old woman last May was sentenced Thursday to 88 years in prison. Cook County Circuit Judge Stuart Palmer sentenced Lamar Whatley, 30, of 353 E. 57th St. for aggravated criminal assault, armed robbery and burglary.
