Residents are reminded that this year’s date to buy new city vehicle stickers has been moved up to May 31, one month earlier than the usual expiration date of June 30.

Stickers cost $15 if purchased by the deadline. On June 1, prices rise to $25 for cars and $50 for trucks, Comptroller Kenneth Robinson said at Monday’s City Council meeting. Senior citizens can buy vehicle stickers for $1, but the price rises to $11 after the deadline.

Stickers can be purchased at City Hall, 1850 N. Lewis Ave., from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The comptroller’s office will stay open until 7 p.m. Thursday and May 30 for sticker sales.
