The village is cracking down on business owners who are testing the limits of its sign ordinance.
“It’s out of control,” said Charlotte Hollenbach, a trustee and a member of the board’s Architectural Commission.
President Sue Klouda said the village has a problem with businesses posting noncompliant signs. Shop owners place banners on their property, or temporary signs in the roadways, which require special permission, to boost sales.
