It is not a new idea, but thanks to recent developments, it may be a less expensive one.
Roy Gundelach, owner of Custom Canvas on Grand Avenue, came to the Village Board four years ago with a plan to have seven lots he owns adjacent to his business to be annexed into the village. The lots cover an area of 180 by 630 feet.
However, he found the cost of sewer and water connections to be prohibitive.
Now, Gundelach points out that the Squaw Creek subdivision, which is next to his property, will be running sewer lines anyhow. Gundelach expects to be able to tie into their lines at a considerably lower personal expense.
The board recommended that he meet with the village Sewer and Water Committee.
