Maria E. Seinwill, a longtime college biology teacher in Lake Forest, died Oct. 12 in Rockford. Mrs. Seinwill, a native of Germany, graduated from Gutenberg University in Mainz, where she received a doctorate in biology. After arriving in the United States in 1959, she taught biology at Spalding College in Louisville. She then taught for 20 years at Barat College in Lake Forest before retiring. Survivors include her husband, Ernest; a son, Mark; and two brothers. Services were held in Rockford.
