A 33-year-old Chicago woman allegedly drove her car into an Oak Brook officer following a pursuit last week that began at Oakbrook Center and ended in Chicago on Cumberland Avenue. Police said they initially chased Hermie Lee Winters, of 6600 S. Seeley Ave., to York Street in Elmhurst, where she allegedly refused orders to get out of her car and struck the officer on the leg. She was charged with aggravated battery and felony retail theft, according to police, who said they recovered clothing valued at $1,754.
