Explore the heart of Mexican music when legendary musician-composer Lalo Guerrero gives the opening concert of the Del Corazon Mexican Performing Arts Festival at 7 p.m. Friday. On Saturday, the vibrant song dance troupe Los Cenzontles join Guerrero for a performance at 7 p.m. at the Mexican Museum of Fine Arts Center, 1852 W. 19th St. The festival, in its fourth year, will be celebrating Mexican music, art, film, theater and literature through June 1. Other performances include: Monica Palacios in “Greetings from a Queer Senorita,” (May 2); author Victor Martinez reading from “Parrot in the Oven” (May 16); musician Antonio Zepeda performance (May 31).
