I must admit I was ready to write Gene Siskel off as just another celebrity hanger-on who wanted to bask in the reflected glory of the Bulls. However, I find his opinions and insights into the Bulls to be educated and articulate. He seems just as knowledgeable about the team and sport as he is about film.
Conversely, I have stopped reading Terry Armour. His defense of his vote for Karl Malone was embarrassing. I like my experts to know more than I do, and Armour doesn’t qualify. Siskel seems more the Bulls expert. Were I Armour, I’d keep out of any basketball debates, especially with Siskel.
