A 17-year-old local girl Wednesday reported her mother to police for allegedly possessing drugs, said police. The girl told police she looked into her mother’s jewelry box to borrow a pair of earrings and allegedly found a vial of cocaine. The incident was referred to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. No criminal charges have been filed against the mother, said police.
