Isn’t there a little too much Cubdumb on the front page of your 150-year anniversary issue (Tribune, Aug. 10)? Three Cubs events and no Sox events! Three Sox people at the bottom does not make up for this slight. Also, why U of I events but no individual efforts? We know Red Grange is there because of the NFL. You list Bears, Cardinals, University of Chicago, Northwestern and Notre Dame football players separately, but not the U of I.
Having Notre Dame is stretching it a bit. South Bend is 90 miles away. Is this the Irish subway mentality? Can’t Chicago compete unless Notre Dame is included?
