Dionysios “Danis” Dorizas, 53, a former owner of a popular Rogers Park restaurant, died Friday in his home in Rolling Meadows. Mr. Dorizas immigrated in 1969 to Chicago from Greece. In 1976 he and a brother opened My Place For? restaurant at 7545 N. Clark St. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his mother, Paraskevi; two sons, Fotis and Andy; a daughter, Kevi; and four brothers. Visitation is from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday in Adinamis Funeral Directors, 4700 N. Western Ave., Chicago. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2727 W. Winona St., Chicago.
