Joseph Fuith, 83, a lifelong resident of Chicago, died Thursday in Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Mr. Fuith was a soapmaker for 31 years for Armour-Dial Co. He worked with mentally retarded and physically disabled youths at Niles Township High School for 16 years. Survivors include his wife, Alveretta; three sons, Art, Rick and Mike; two daughters, Alice Streb and Kathy Pisani; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Matz Funeral Home, 3440 N. Central Ave., Chicago. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 4949 W. Patterson Ave., Chicago.
