Q. Why is the thought of one’s parents having sex so repulsive?

A. Parents are not supposed to be turned on by their children, and children aren’t supposed to be turned on by their parents, so both sides repress any sexual thoughts they might have about the other and think of them as asexual. Of course, neither side actually is asexual but when the thought crops up, in order to push it aside, you think of it as being repulsive.
