Freeman E. McFadden, 75, formerly of Hanover Park and an Elgin resident for the past three years, died Friday at Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Mr. McFadden was born in Ontario, Canada. He was a retired conductor from the Chicago & North Western Railroad. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; son, Thomas; two sisters; a brother; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State Street (Illinois Highway 31), Elgin.
