Clarendon Hills’ Planning and Zoning Commission has delayed for more than two months its expected approval of a controversial town home and condominium project.
The project was expected to be discussed during Thursday night’s meeting, but Village Planning and Zoning Director Kevin Stough said the developer called to ask for more time to gather the materials it needed for the panel.
Some residents near the proposed development say the proposed five-story building is too high and would ruin the village’s small-town atmosphere.
The project would have 148 units on a 5-acre site between Park Avenue and the Burlington Northern Railroad tracks. It would include 126 condominiums and 22 town homes.
The commission is expected to vote Nov. 20 on the proposal.
