Batavia’s Plan Commission has recommended preliminary approval of the Kirkland Chase development proposed for a site adjacent to the Kirkland Farms development on the southeast side of town.
The commission requested several changes in the proposal, which has been in the works for about two years. Changes in density, architectural design, landscaping and wetlands preservation provisions were made.
The plan recommended includes 39 town homes, 56 single-family homes, a commercial facility and preservation of green space. Guidelines regarding architectural design will become part of the final annexation agreement.
