Edward J. Metke, 75, a longtime employee of Sears, Roebuck and Co., died Thursday in his Elmhurst home. Mr. Metke worked as a quality control manager for Sears. He retired in 1988 after 40 years with the company. Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Jost, Mary Jagiel and Carol Featherstone; and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst. Mass will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday in Visitation Church, 779 S. York Rd., Elmhurst.
