The Woodstock District 200 Board of Education will get a preview Tuesday night of its new Web site, scheduled to go on-line Wednesday morning.

According to Jerry Swedberg, the district’s technology assistant, the new site will carry calendars of coming events, board activities and other major services provided by the district.

Terming it “a work in progress,” Swedberg said each school in the system will eventually have its own home page. The high school’s current Web site will also be incorporated into the new districtwide site. “We want to provide more and better information to the community,” Swedberg said.

Funding for the Web server and site development came from a state grant, Swedberg said.

Beginning Wednesday morning, the site can be reached through any home computer with Internet access at:
