Maine South 47, Highland Park 6: Dino Gardiakos rushed for three TDs in the first half as No. 13 Maine South (5-0, 1-0) led 47-0 at the half in the Central Suburban North opener. Matt Angarone, who had five receptions for 44 yards, chipped in with two touchdown catches. Highland Park (0-5, 0-1) managed just 60 yards of offense.

Downers Grove South 30, Willowbrook 6: Jason Hogrefe (9 for 13, 124 yards) completed his first five passes, and Marcus Moore (18 carries, 166 yards) ran 72 yards on his second carry for one of his two TDs as No. 14 Downers Grove South (5-0, 2-0) routed Willowbrook (2-3, 2-1) in the West Suburban Gold.

Farragut 49, Spalding 0: Floyd White (10 carries, 119 yards) rushed for two touchdowns and recovered a fumble in the end zone for a third to lead Farragut (2-2, 2-0 Public Intra-City North).

Foreman 36, Wells 0: Josh Jankowski threw for two touchdowns and caught another two to lead Foreman (4-1, 2-0 Public North Central) past Wells (0-5, 0-2).

Harper 28, King 6: Eduardo Hicks and Julius Davis provided more than enough offense for the Cardinals (5-0, 2-0) in their Illini Southwest victory. Davis (6 for 14, 107 yards) threw touchdown passes of 17 and 28 yards to Hicks (20 carries, 105 yards), who also ran for two scores.

Hyde Park 38, Harlan 0: Nick Pollard’s 58-yard touchdown run and three touchdown passes sparked the Indians (4-1, 2-0) to the Southeast victory.

Kenwood 12, Calumet 6: Jarvis McClure picked off a Calumet pass and ran 50 yards for the winning touchdown for Kenwood (2-3, 2-0 Public South-Central).

Lake View 7, Senn 2: Idel Cintron’s 1-yard touchdown run sparked the Wildcats (4-1, 1-1) to the Public Illini Northwest victory.

Lockport 42, Thornridge 0: Phil Stockmal had touchdown runs of 29 and 30 yards and Nick Setta kicked two field goals (33 and 40 yards) and four extra points as Lockport (4-1, 2-1) shut out Thornridge (1-4, 1-2) in the SICA Blue.

Luther South 44, St. Gregory 16: Alan Alexander rushed for career-highs in yardage (173) and touchdowns (four) to lead Luther South (1-4, 1-2 Private School League) to its first victory. Tavaris Guider had a 32-yard run and Richard Latham threw a 37-yard pass to Allen Leonard to cap the scoring for the Braves. St. Gregory is 0-5, 0-3.

Lyons Township 35, Oak Park 14: Highlighted by two Eric Michielutti touchdown runs, the Lions (2-3, 2-1) exploded for 29 second-quarter points in the West Suburban Silver victory.

Niles North 35, Glenbrook North 16: Greg Zagorski threw a pair of touchdown passes to John Anzelone and ran 63 yards for a score of his own in the Vikings (2-3, 1-0) Central Suburban North victory.

North Shore Country Day 26, LaPorte (Ind.) LaLumiere 14: Rashad White (14 carries, 63 yards) scored on runs of 1 and 11 yards and quarterback Steve McNelley scored on a 4-yard keeper to lead the Raiders (2-3).

St. Laurence 27, St. Joseph 14: Tony Coco had a pair of touchdown runs for the Vikings (2-3).

Schurz 27, Lincoln Park 0: Joaquin Sanchez had a pair of touchdown runs for the Bulldogs (2-3, 2-0) in the Public Northeast victory.

Walther Lutheran 33, Luther North 0: Josh Schubkegel threw three touchdown passes (6, 15 and 31 yards) to Terry Doyle as the Broncos (4-1, 1-1) recorded the Private School League shutout.
