Bernard Berman, 70, of Marengo, died Saturday in Highland Hospital, Belvidere. Mr. Berman was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was the former owner of Berman Iron and Metal and a past president of the Belmar Country Club. Survivors include three daughters, Renee Peters, Mary Pat Berman, and Mary Kay Kovacs; three sons, Jay, Joseph, and Jack; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Marengo Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Highway, Marengo. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
