Fred B. Kampfer, 63, a 20-year Palatine resident, died Tuesday in Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, Chicago. He was born in Chicago. He was a commercial account representative with the Guy Viti Insurance Agency in Highwood. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during the 1950s. He is survived by his wife, Joan. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., Mt. Prospect. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 455 N. Benton St., Palatine.
