Fred C. Rowley, 90, retired owner and president of the Fred C. Rowley and Sons Construction Co., died Tuesday at his home in Munster. Mr. Rowley was a member of the Chicago Yacht Club, Jackson Park Yacht Club, San Diego Yacht Club, Purdue Calumet School of Nursing Advisory Board, Chicago Athletic Association, Hammond Rotary Club and Northern Indiana Art Association, among others. He was also a member of the first football team at the University of Miami in Florida. He is survived by his wife, Christine; three daughters, Floy Apple, Jeanette Stevens and Margo Gupta; a stepdaughter, Ann Suger; three stepsons, John McReynolds, Lawrence McReynolds and James McReynolds; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 8415 Calumet Ave., Munster. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1101 Park Drive, Munster.
