Robert D. Smith, 65, of Streamwood, died Wednesday in Alexian Brothers Medical Center, Elk Grove Village. He was a retired engineer for Panasonic in Franklin Park and was formerly employed by Motorola. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen A.; a son, Robbie; a daughter Arlene; and a grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
