Johnsburg police were searching for a teenage boy in connection with an attempted abduction Tuesday afternoon.

According to a police report, a 10-year-old girl ran into the woods along the 1300 block of Oeffling Drive to retrieve a plastic flying disc. She was grabbed from behind but screamed and ran.

The offender is described as a 16- or 17-year-old who wore a Bears jacket, brown baggy pants and a black cape. His hair is short, yellow on one side and pink on the other.
