Gene Wojciechowski, the DePaul basher, wrote about dignity in a recent column. He was bold enough to mention Ray Meyer in the same sentence with Dean Smith. Meyer has been crying and whining for six months over the way he and Joey have been treated by DePaul. Smith, on the other hand, retired with dignity and class.
As for Joey’s late firing, it could have been beneficial. While other coaches are under contract, he is free to pursue job openings such as South Alabama, Arizona State, Michigan, etc.
How can one sports department have room for a pair such as Wojciechowski and Lincicome?
