Chris T. Myers, 21, of 25 24th St., Winthrop Harbor, was charged with retail theft Thursday night after he allegedly stole a leather hat from the Burlington Coat Factory, 920 S. Milwaukee Ave, said police. Myers, who was then an employee of the store, set off the security sensors while leaving the building. He had concealed the hat underneath his coat, police said. The hat was valued at $19.
