The City of Chicago banner auction series will offer the public a chance to buy streetlight banners that commemorate popular Chicago events.
The auction is being organized by the “Sharing It” program, the city’s official charity. Proceeds will benefit the Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation.
Among banners for sale will be those from the Chicago blues, gospel and jazz music festivals, the 1996 Democratic National Convention, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and several museum exhibits.
