The Newberry Library will hold its seventh annual Very Merry Bazaar. The bazaar features hundreds of items from 40 of Chicago’s cultural and community organizations, such as Adler Planetarium, Lincoln Park Zoo, the Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum, and the Swedish American Museum.
The event will kick off with a benefit preview party featuring the Ken Chaney Experience, a jazz trio.
Preview Party: 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, the Newberry Library, 60 W. Walton St. Tickets are $75, $125, $250 or $500. Proceeds benefit the library.
Bazaar: noon to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 23 at the library. Admission for unlimited weekend visits is $5. Children younger than 12 will be admitted free of charge.
