The Village Board will meet with the Plan Commission Monday to clarify a list of conditions a controversial pizza pub must meet before it is allowed to open.

The owners of Bill’s, a popular Mundelein restaurant, want to open a second pizza pub on Washington Street west of U.S. Highway 45.

Opponents say that the restaurant will increase traffic and ruin the area’s tranquility.

Conditions already recommended by the commission and agreed to by Bill’s include closing times of 11 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and midnight on weekends. Also, the parking lot would be enlarged, and fencing and odor control filters would be added.

The meeting will be held in the Monastery of the Most Holy Mother of God, west of U.S. 45 off Grant Avenue.
