Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...
As a former daily newspaper reporter in Chicago and then on the sidelines as a public-relations businessman, I have, in my retirement, increased my interest in good news reporting and writing.
Two of the best news stories in many months appeared on your front page on Dec. 5. They were headlined: “Finally, a league draws a line” and “Retirees learn computers can be child’s play.” Both were well-done, having all the aspects of news, interest and education.
It is reporting like this that has kept you around for 150 years.
