This club at Brown University (Providence, R.I.) provides a nice, clear explanation of curling for those of you who’ve always wondered but didn’t dare ask. Also, of course, are the usual listing of club activities and membership.

That’s “bobsled” for you Yanks. The British Bobsleigh Asociation was formed in 1927 in New York as the U.K. governing body for the sport.

This promises to be the “real skiers”‘ digital guide to fun on the slopes. It has first-person resort reports that are not advertising spots, independent tests of skiing gear, instruction, weather and tips on physically preparing for and getting through the season.
